After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the role of emerging therapies in improving outcomes based on data from recent clinical studies
  • Interpret safety-efficacy profiles of current and emerging pharmacologic agents
  • Assess the role of sequencing and combination therapies
  • Devise the best treatment approach for transplant-eligible and transplant-ineligible patients
  • Evaluate the emerging role of immunotherapies
  • Assess the role of chemotherapy either alone or in combination with novel agents
  • Evaluate the role of new and existing biomarkers
  • Describe how the biology and/or pathogenesis informs precision medicine
  • Debate the benefits and risks of novel diagnostic and prognostic approaches
